ABSTRACT

Objective To study the features and patterns of adverse drug reactions (ADR) induced by lentinan injection; To provide references for rational medication. Methods By using the method of retrospective analysis from 1994 to 2015, publicly reported 22 of lentinan injection ADR case report were analyzed. Results Clinical manifestations of lentinan injection ADR could be involved in a variety of organs, also could cause systemic damage. ADR associated with patient age at the same time, inappropriate drug dosage, solvent selection are factors that lead to adverse reactions. Conclusion When using lentinan injection, attention should be paid to the supervision of special population, medication should be strict according to the instructions and medication education should be strengthened, so as to reduce the occurrence of ADR and improve the satisfaction of patients.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the effect of lentinan injection in different treatment administration of oxaliplatin combined with capecitabine in treatment of gastric cancer and the effect on the peripheral blood of patients with CEA and CA199 levels. Methods 90 cases in our hospital from September 2009 to September 2012 were selected as research subjects, according to patients with lentinan injection treatment, the patients were divided into A, B and C three groups, the effect and the adverse effects of chemotherapy in three groups of patients, detection of serum CEA and CA-199 levels. Results CR, PR, SD and PD of A groups were 12, 7, 8, 3 cases, RR was 63.3%, obviously higher than that of B, C two groups, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05), group A patients with leukopenia I,II and III degree were 15, 10, 5 cases of gastrointestinal reaction, I, II, III were 12, 10, 8 cases of abnormal liver function, I, II and III degree were 14, 9, 7 cases.A group, leukopenia, gastrointestinal tract, liver function abnormal lesion was lower than the B group and C group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05), CEA, CA199 level before treatment compared to no difference, one course of chemotherapy, after two courses of A, B, C three groups of patients with CEA and CA199 level were before treatment decreased, and the level of group A was significantly lower than that of B, C two B, C group, no significant difference between the two groups. Conclusion Lentinan injection helps to improve the sensitivity of chemotherapy in patients with gastric cancer, reduce adverse drug reactions, reduce the level of tumor markers, improve the prognosis of patients with gastric cancer.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To systematic review and analysis the clinical efficacy and toxicity of lentinan injection combined with chemotherapy in the treatment of nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC). MATERIALS AND METHODS: The databases of PubMed and CNKI were electronic searched with the free text word of lung cancer/NSCLC and lentinan. The prospective clinical study reporting the clinical efficacy and safety of lentinan injection combined with chemotherapy in the treatment of NSCLC were reviewed and included in this meta‑analysis. The combined treatment efficacy and toxicity of lentinan injection combined with chemotherapy were pooled by Stata 11.0 software. RESULTS: Twelve clinical studies of lentinan injection combined with chemotherapy in the treatment of NSCLC with 458 controls and 492 NSCLCs patients were finally included in this meta‑analysis. The pooled results indicated that the objective response rate was significant improved in the lentinan injection combined chemotherapy group compared with chemotherapy group only (relative risk [RR] = 1.31, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.14–1.52). The chemotherapy‑related toxicity of III/IV gastrointestinal reaction (RR = 0.54, 95% CI: 0.43–0.68) and III/IV granulocytopenia (RR = 0.65, 95% CI: 0.51–0.70) were significant decreased in the combined group. CONCLUSION: Lentinan injection combined chemotherapy significant increase the objective response rate and decreased the chemotherapy‑related toxicity.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of lentinan injection plus cisplatin (LIC) in the treatment of malignant pleural effusion (MPE).Methods We searched the database of Cochrane Library,PubMed,EMBASE,ISI Web of Knowledge,Chinese Biomedical Literature Database,Chinese Scientific Journals Full-text Database,Chinese Journal Full-text,and Google Scholar, etc.,up to February 28th,2011 to identify randomized controlled trials (RCTs) about lentinan injection (LI) for MPE,evaluate the quality of the included studies, and analyze the data by Cochrane Collaboration's RevMan5.0 software. Results Twenty-nine RCTs involving 1831 patients were included.Meta analysis results suggested that there were some differences when comparing LIC with control groups suffering from MPE,for LIC could improve the near-term curative effect and the quality of life to some extent.Besides, compared with chemotherapy alone,LI plus chemotherapy had an advantage in relieving adverse reactions, such as gastrointestinal reactions, myelosuppression, chest pain, and general malaise. Conclusion The current evidence indicates that LI may have adjuvant therapeutic effects for MPE.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluated the efficacy of lentinan injection and carboplatin for malignant pleural effusions. Methods 63 patients were divided into the experimental group and control group. The experimental group were adminstered lentinan injection and carboplatin. Results The response rate of the experimental group was 81.2%,the control group was 61.3%.The better quality of life appeared in the experimental group. Conclusion Postoperative lentinan injection and carboplatin in formalignant pleural effusions is a beneficial therapeusis that helps to improve survival rates and qulity of life.
